Antitrust

In this matter, our practice aims to provide our clients with complete advice on the antitrust matters related to their operations and transactions, which entails an analysis of the need to subject any of these for prior approval by the National Economic Prosecutor (FNE), to lead the case before the FNE if necessary and eventually represent them before the Free Competition Defense Court to obtain the respective approval.

We also provide advice in the preventive analysis of given business operations or decisions in light of the requirements of antitrust rules or compliance with specific regulations, such as the prohibition against interlocking or the notification of ownership interests in companies. Furthermore, we represent our clients in punitive proceedings before the TDLC for violations to antitrust rules, such as the abuse of a dominant position or concerted practices, as the case may be, and in coordination with our criminal law area.
