In addition to the habitual movements in the Chilean legal industry, a trend is being reaffirmed with the reconfiguration of internal structures that go beyond being a group of highly qualified professionals, which is already the starting point for creating or positioning a law firm in the country.<\/p>\n
Firms currently seek mystique, values, vision and, above all, efficiencies and innovation. This is precisely the idea in the firm (composed of 10 lawyers and five administrative staff) founded four years ago by Jorge Lembeye, a former partner of Bofill Mir & Alvarez Jana who recently added another former colleague to his ranks: Guillermo de la Jara, who comes to shore up the area of public law, regulated markets and free competition.<\/p>\n
But this is not the only hire by the firm led by Lembeye and his partners Rony Zimerman, Daniel Praetorius, Nicol\u00e1s Espina and, now, De la Jara (all formerly BMAJ).<\/p>\n
They named the business manager Antonia Schlesinger to the position of general manager early this year, a former Latam Airlines executive who came with the mission of professionalizing the firm from its origins, something rather unusual in an industry where the figure of administrating partner tends to prevail. \u00abThis is unusual and a great bet by Lembeye, by rethinking itself as an innovative firm compared to its peers,\u00bb Schlesinger says, who does not hide her enthusiasm when she says that she was surprised by \u00abthe amount of data that the industry has and the entrepreneurial spirit of the partners, in addition to the constant concern over the firm we want to build.\u00bb<\/p>\n
For his part, Jorge Lembeye says that the idea behind professionalizing the administration is \u00abto do things differently.\u00bb \u00abWe invested heavily in infrastructure and technology from day one and are also marked by having an administration of excellence that allows all of the information that we have to be analyzed, to reach conclusions, establish KPIs, ways to measure the management and lawyers and clients, in addition to anticipating inefficiencies, how to be more profitable and do our work better.\u00bb<\/p>\n
